PlayStation Plus July 2026 Free Games Revealed — Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2 and CrossCode Available Now

July's PS Plus Lineup Is Officially Live

Sony has confirmed PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for July 2026, and the lineup is headlined by a major franchise title. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode are all available to download at no additional cost for PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers from July 7 through August 3, 2026. All three games are available on both PS4 and PS5, making this one of the more broadly accessible monthly lineups in recent memory.

What Each Game Offers

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the headline addition — a full-priced shooter featuring a single-player campaign, remastered classic multiplayer maps from the original Modern Warfare 2, and an expanded Zombies mode. For Indian players who have not yet experienced the current MW3 before Modern Warfare 4 launches this October, this is the perfect opportunity to get up to speed. For the King 2 is a turn-based strategic RPG with local co-op support for up to three players — excellent for Indian players who want a couch co-op experience. CrossCode is a critically acclaimed retro-inspired 2D action RPG with a distinctive 16-bit visual style and a surprisingly deep sci-fi storyline that typically takes 40-plus hours to complete.

What This Means for Indian PS Plus Subscribers

For Indian PS Plus subscribers paying approximately ₹4,999 per year, this month's lineup alone represents significant value. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 retails for approximately ₹3,499 on the PlayStation Store — nearly the cost of an annual PS Plus Essential subscription by itself. Download all three before August 3 even if you do not plan to play them immediately — once added to your library through PS Plus, they remain available to play as long as your subscription is active.

My Take

CoD MW3 headlining PS Plus in July is genuinely good timing — with Modern Warfare 4 launching October 23, this is Sony giving subscribers a chance to experience the current generation of the franchise before the next one arrives. If you have been even slightly curious about the current Call of Duty, there is zero reason not to download it this month. CrossCode is the hidden gem of the lineup — an absolutely brilliant RPG that is criminally underplayed despite being one of the best indie games of the last decade.
