His answer was carefully worded but very telling: Rockstar and Take-Two have "a lot of work to do after the launch of GTA VI." That is it. No specifics. But read between the lines — a game that launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only, with no PC version and no online mode announced, has two obvious gaps that need filling. Zelnick just confirmed they are already working on filling them.
GTA 6 PC Port — When Is It Coming?
GTA 6 has only been officially confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is no official PC announcement yet. But based on Rockstar's history, a PC port is absolutely coming — the only question is when. GTA 5 took about 18 months to come to PC after its console launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about a year. Leaks from ex-Rockstar developers point to a February 2027 PC release — roughly 3 months after the November 19 console launch. That would be the fastest console-to-PC turnaround in Rockstar's history, which makes sense given how powerful modern PC hardware is and how much the PC market has grown since 2013.
GTA Online 6 — What We Know So Far
GTA Online will not be available on day one — November 19, 2026. This follows the exact same pattern as GTA 5, where GTA Online launched about two weeks after the main game. Leaks suggest GTA Online 6 could go live in December 2026, roughly a month after launch. What we do know is that Zelnick has previously called GTA Online "the gift that keeps on giving" because of its massive ongoing revenue. He has also said user-generated content is an "interesting opportunity" — which points to GTA Online 6 being far bigger and more moddable than its predecessor. Rockstar also acquired FiveM creator Cfx.re back in 2023, which strongly suggests official mod support is coming to GTA Online 6.
What This Means for Indian PC Gamers
If the February 2027 PC leak is accurate, Indian PC gamers are looking at roughly a 3-month wait after console players. That is genuinely good news compared to the 18-month wait GTA 5 PC players endured. In the meantime, if you have access to a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, November 19 is your date. If you are a PC-only player, start saving now — February 2027 is not far. And the PC version will almost certainly run better, look better, and come with all the day-one patches already applied.

Zelnick saying "a lot of work to do after launch" is the most exciting non-announcement of 2026. It confirms what everyone already knew — GTA 6 is not a one-and-done release. It is a platform.
