Game Producer Says Rockstar May Be 'Quaking' Under Massive GTA 6 Expectations

The enormous hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI may be creating unprecedented pressure for Rockstar Games, according to a well-known video game producer.

Ian Proulx, the co-founder and producer behind the multiplayer shooter Hell Let Loose, recently commented on the growing expectations for GTA 6. In his view, the level of anticipation from fans around the world has reached a point where Rockstar developers may feel significant pressure to deliver something extraordinary.

Grand Theft Auto VI is widely expected to become one of the biggest entertainment releases in history. The game follows the massive success of GTA V, which has sold more than 190 million copies since its launch in 2013 and remains one of the most profitable games ever created.

Because of that legacy, expectations for the next installment have grown incredibly high. Fans are hoping for major improvements in areas such as open-world realism, artificial intelligence, story depth, and next-generation graphics.

Proulx suggested that Rockstar may feel the weight of those expectations, especially as players imagine revolutionary gameplay features before the game has even been fully revealed.

Despite the pressure, Rockstar Games has a long history of delivering groundbreaking open-world titles. The studio's previous releases, including GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, set new standards for storytelling, world design, and technical detail in the gaming industry.

The first official trailer for GTA 6 already broke multiple internet records and quickly became one of the most viewed video game trailers ever released.

With the game's launch currently expected in 2026, the global gaming community continues to watch closely for new trailers, gameplay reveals, and official announcements from Rockstar Games.
