PC Gamer Found 32 Steam Games Scheduled to Launch on November 19 — The Same Day as GTA 6. Here Is What They Are

Someone Has to Launch on November 19

PC Gamer's Steam Week in Review tracked a fascinating statistic — despite every major publisher fleeing from GTA 6's November 19 launch date, there are currently 32 games on Steam scheduled to release on the exact same day as GTA 6. PC Gamer noted the irony with characteristic dry humour: "Curiously, there are actually more games releasing on November 19 than the day before and after." This is not because 32 studios are unaware of GTA 6 — it is because the games releasing on that day are almost entirely indie and small studio titles for whom any given Tuesday is equivalent to any other.

Who Actually Releases on GTA 6 Day

The 32 November 19 Steam games include titles like Anomaly Corp, G.E.M. Grab and Exit, Ship Shape Slam, and Dig Dig Dino — names that are unlikely to appear in the same sentence as GTA 6 in any context other than this one. There is also a first-person body-cam horror game called Flick described as "scientifically engineered to spike feelings of dread" — which PC Gamer noted might help relieve feelings of FOMO for horror fans. And Devolver Digital, the famously irreverent indie publisher, has repeatedly promised it will release something on GTA 6 day as a deliberate counterprogram. Whether Devolver delivers on that promise remains to be seen.

The Devolver Wild Card

Devolver Digital's promise to launch on November 19 is the most interesting subplot in the November release calendar. The publisher has a history of using their outsider status and irreverent brand voice to generate attention through contrast — being the studio that launches when everyone else runs away is exactly the kind of stunt that generates Devolver-appropriate coverage. They have declined to name the specific game, adding an element of mystery that has become its own minor gaming story. If Devolver delivers something genuinely great on GTA 6 day, it will be one of the most audacious publisher decisions of 2026.

The Major Publisher Landscape in November

Beyond the indie landscape, virtually no major publisher has anything confirmed for the entire month of November. Modern Warfare 4 lands October 23. Marvel's Wolverine is September 15. Gears of War: E-Day is late September. The November calendar around GTA 6 is effectively empty of major competition — a direct result of every publisher making the rational decision to avoid a release window where GTA 6 will absorb essentially all available consumer attention and gaming media coverage.

What This Means for Indian Gamers

For Indian gamers, the November 19 release calendar means one thing practically — buy GTA 6 and play GTA 6. There is nothing else competing for your gaming time that month at the AAA level. The 32 Steam games launching the same day are a curiosity rather than a genuine alternative. Some of them will be genuinely good — indie games launching in GTA 6's shadow have historically been overlooked in their launch week before finding audiences later. If you see something interesting in that November 19 Steam list, add it to your wishlist and come back to it in December when Vice City has had its moment.

My Take

The image of 32 small games launching on the same day as GTA 6 is both funny and genuinely poignant. Their developers almost certainly know their November 19 launch will be invisible in the media landscape. Some of them probably considered delaying and decided the effort was not worth it — a day is a day regardless of what else is releasing. Others may genuinely not know how massive GTA 6's cultural footprint will be on that specific date. Either way, those 32 games deserve to exist and find their audiences eventually. GTA 6 will dominate November 19. But not every game that launches that day needs to compete with it to be worth playing.
